54pineapples Crochet Memory Lane … I crocheted this afghan over 30 years ago and it has certainly stood the test of time. It’s a classic design, and is wonderfully warm and comfy. The pattern is from a Coats and Clark Red Heart pamphlet that I still have! But it is also available on Ravelry! So happy that this pattern is still available. What an homage to the classic art of crochet! Or is that the classiness of the art of crochet? Who says it can’t be both?!
54pineapples crocheted string bags (aka reusable market totes!) used as hospitality bags for overnight wedding guests. Crocheted in various colors of Lily Sugar ‘N Cream cotton yarn, these tote bags were packed full of local snacks and goodies. And after the snacks are gone, the bags will come in handy for the farmer’s market, the beach, or just running errands around town!
54pineapples most recent creation! White sateen fabric with black velveteen swirls was perfect for this table runner and 4 matching placements. All are lined with red velveteen fabric for a terrific pop of color. To complete the set, four black napkins are adorned with swirl napkin holders made by the talented Patricia Zilinsky. The bride-to-be who received this gift at her shower was very happy :)
54pineapples will be on Christmas holiday from today through New Year’s Day. Thanks for following us and for supporting hand made accessories and gifts. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy 2014. And for all those “Home Alone” fans out there … “Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal!”
I’m afraid it’s true … !!!
